AndyS
R1150RT Have any of you got information on the correct torque loading of bleed nipples all over the bike. They are one of the few items I would gladly use a torque wrench on. I live in fear of shearing those things off. Oh the very thought of trying to drill one out of the ABS unit I have had one shear off from the rear brake caliper on its removal, but that is slightly different than self inflicted on tightening the things post bleeding. AndyS
Hand-tight with an appropriately short box-end wrench works for me. Hand tight is too much of a variable for the less sensitive among us. I know for sure I could snap a bleed nipple off with good 'snug down'. So if possible its the torque wrench for me. Bleed nipples do not neet to be snugged, they seal with a taper. Run down finger tight - which seals the joint - then 1/16th of a turn. Andy Link to comment
