Just to let the crowd know there will be one less LT to kick dirt on. I'm starting a new position on Janruary 2 and it would kinda be bad form to ask for a Friday off after only two weeks. I was on the recon and you all will have a blast.

 

I have a room reserved for Spring Torrey and I may quit if I can't get time off for that one. thumbsup.gif

Have it with our recently "retired" chief. He's the one who short staffed us for so long and then brought up a new engine company without hiring any one!

Trust me. The stress has now manifested itself in my teeth of all things. Bruxism has started to leave me with the feeling of a tooth ache due to the stress. Dentist states I need to go ride!!! Wish I could have gotten him to write that down on his letterhead! lmao.giflmao.giflmao.gif

This thread is slipping off the first page, so I'll bring it back up top to talk about evaluating my gear (get yur 'kit together) in preparation for cold or wet weather (hope not). I needed a new pair of britches designed for weather as reported in the 2007 DVD, so I started internet searches. I wanted a 1-piece non-overpant with plenty of length in the seated positon. I almost ordered online but decided to visit the HonYamKawZuk dealer that sponsors a riders club I'm in. No luck. Mostly vented and/or overpants - not what I was looking for. Then I checked out their clearance rack. What's this? One pair of the very brand and model I wanted? But size XXL? Way too large? I remembered these run small so I tried 'em on and now they're mine for 1/2 MSRP. Took a little moto test run on Sunday - not cold with upper 50s temps, but with post-rain blustery winds. These will keep me comfy next month!

If the weather forecasts look good for that weekend, I will ride the bike out by myself. But if weather looks iffy, I will trailer the bike out and bring my lovely bride with me. She expresses no interest in riding across Nevada in 30 degree (or colder) temps.

 

So it's a win/win no matter what happens.

 

Really looking forward to this weekend away.
