John Ferris
I like this place, Samoa Cookhouse Eureka, CA 95501 707-442-1659 Established in 1893, this historical place is the last lumber camp-style cookhouse in the West. They are open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all meals are served "lumber camp" style. Your food is brought piping hot to the table in large bowls and platters, allowing you to help yourself and pass it around. A complimentary logging museum is on the property, filled with relics and photographs from the old logging and cookhouse days. Link to comment

Tank
My best road to Red Bluff from Auburn is take I-5 to Maxwell ( just north of Sac ).... exit Maxwell and go left to Lodoga and Stonyford, follow 162 north to RedBluff and 36, should be a great time of year to ride 162, if you haven't been on that road , ya oughta, as you won't be sorry.
