Urban Surfer Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Where can I get a good price on an Oddessy 680c battery for my 1150 RT?
ltljohn Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 I have been looking for this also. I seem like the price is always between $129 and $150 plus shipping. I am just waiting to catch a special where somenoe on the low end offers free shipping. Just search the net. If someone spots a good special please post
Paul Mihalka Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 The least expensive I found: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Odyssey-P...sspagenameZWDVW No shipping cost, no tax. They sure went up. Not so long ago they were in the 60/70 range.
BUSTED Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Check www.batteries4everything.com I've bought 2 PC 680's from them in the past. They have gone up in price and are currently listed at $95.67+ shipping.
OoPEZoO Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Nice find Paul. Every few $$$ less helps. I need one too. My bike definitly isn't happy with the weather getting cooler. It usually fires right up in the morning (after sitting in a heated garage all night), but it kicked an ABS fault yesterday afternoon when I went to leave work. A quick shutdown and restart fixed it, but I know its only going to get worse once the weather gets REALLY cold. I have it on a battery tender 2-3 times a week, so I know its only a matter of time before I will be drifting it down the parking lot in the afternoons and popping the clutch .

I just went there and I'm seeing them listed at $107.90 + $2.00 handling fee + shipping......and they won't tell you what the shipping cost is.

That's weird. I'm looking at $95.67 + $2 handling right now. You sure you have the right battery selected? Go to UPS dot com to figure shipping, battery is 15 lbs. - or you could just give them a ring. Their shipping price for lighter items seems reasonable.
BUSTED Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 PC 680 Part #43006 still listed at $95.67, don't know what you're looking at. On my 96 I made right angle brackets but, on my current RT, I just mounted it on it's side. The shipping and handling for my last battery was total $14.25 at a 2500 mile distance.

After a little digging, it looks like we were looking them up differently. Which was getting us different results. I was clicking on "product list" "motorcycle batteries" "odyssey" "PC680(Y50N18L-A)" Which gets you part #68031, a 10lb battery for $107.90 I'm guessing you guys were going "product list" "Odyssey, Hawker, Cyclon, Genesis Batteries" "odyssey" "Power Sports-BMW, ATV w/no metal jacket or SAE posts - 680ca" Which gets you a part #43006, a 14.4lb battery for $95.67 Common sense would tell you that looking it up either way should give you the same results, but obviously not. Makes me wonder how many people have ordered the wrong batteries. Looks like someone has made another glorious attempt at confusing and misinforming the customer
JR356 Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Hi, Looked up the PC535 for my GS using the same two methods and the $10+ price difference is there too. JR356
