OoPEZoO Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I want to try and find a local dealer that carries Oxtar boots, but I can't find a website for them. I keep getting refered to oxtar.com and oxtar-usa.com, but neither of they those sites will come up. Any help??
TyTass Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Me either. I read somewhere the USA site is not yet up - perhaps being constructed. I don't why the Italian site won't come up. I have a pair of the Oxtar Explorers. They are Leather/Codora with Gore Tex. Not heavy duty but were fabulous this summer. Riding yesterday in 50-60 degree weather couldn't have been more pleasant. I've hiked a good deal in them and they look brand new.
OoPEZoO Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 Yeah.....I just got done reading that Oxtar changed their name to TCX Boots. I managed to find their site. It is under TCXboots.com, but all it says is "coming soon". So who knows whats going on. Ugh, I just hate mail ordering boots. I wear between a size 12 and a 13 depending on the brand/fit so I was really looking forward to trying a few of their boots on before I pulled the trigger. Nice avitar......was that before or after going into the ditch??
kcscout Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 FWIW: I wear a size 10 shoe which translated to a size 43 Oxtar boot. Nice fit. I bought mine through the classifieds here.
EffBee Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Oxtar Boots are now imported and distributed through Helmet House/Tour Master. You can go to Helmet House.com and use their dealer locator to get the name of your nearest dealer. But as to whether that dealer carries Oxtar or only carries other Helmet House products (Shoei, HJC, Tour Master) is something you won't discover until you call that dealer. They've changed the name to TCX/Oxtar. If you want to look at the boots, either click on the TCX link, or go to their catalog link and download the TCX/Oxtar pdf.
BFish Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 i wear the same size sidi as oxtar....just a point of reference....maybe. BTW...i like the oxtar.
TyTass Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Nice avitar......was that before or after going into the ditch?? Just a little recent acid reflux, that's all.
OoPEZoO Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 i wear the same size sidi as oxtar....just a point of reference....maybe. BTW...i like the oxtar. Good to know.....thanks. Maybe I can try on some Sidi's localy and then just mail order the Oxtar's. Otherwise it looks like I'm going to be making a few phone calls and a road trip just to try the Oxtars on.
Bill_Walker Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Nice avitar......was that before or after going into the ditch?? Just a little recent acid reflux, that's all. Man, I'll be glad when Halloween is past. That avatar creeps me out every time I see it, and comments like this don't help (even if they do make me laugh).

Ken H. Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Motorcyclecloseouts carries them - http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/search/oxtar
OoPEZoO Posted October 31, 2007 Author Posted October 31, 2007 Motorcyclecloseouts carries them - http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/search/oxtar Thanks. I saw that, but I have rather large feet and I prefer to try boots on before I buy them. I figured I would order from the them, but I wanted to try a few pairs on localy first to make sure I get the size that fits me well. So I figure I'm going to make a few phone calls and do a little road tripping on Sat morning to see if I can't find a pair localy.
blackyam Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Motorcyclecloseouts carries them - http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/search/oxtar A little cheaper at newenough.com (search for "oxtar"). Ordered a pair of the Matrix 2 this morning. They will go into my closet until my present Matrix (1st generation) wears out.

I had checked their site before (I have always appreciated their real world reviews of the products), but they didn't have them listed. I guess you have to do a specific search to get to them. Either way.....Thanks! Update......now I see. They have all of the Oxtars listed under the closeouts. Thats a damn good price. I might have to pick up two sets of boots
