Lone_RT_rider Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 You didn't happen to see any sidecars that looked like this.... Did you? Shawn
Jerry_75_Guy Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 What the heck is this? Calling Buck Rogers! I was wondering the same thing. It looks like it's been fashioned from old surplus drop tanks. By the way; nice pics Looks like a really fun show!
bmweerman Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 You didn't happen to see any sidecars that looked like this.... Did you? Shawn I don't mean to be flippant, but there were 400 rigs at the show. I don't recall seeing anything of that particular nature though. I am not sure why you are asking, but Doug Bingham knows everyone and everything there is to know about side cars in Los Angeles.
Lone_RT_rider Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I am not sure why you are asking, but Doug Bingham knows everyone and everything there is to know about side cars in Los Angeles. I wondered because my family used to produce this sidecar from the 20's to the 50's. Every once in a while they pop up at shows like this. They are called a "Goulding Rocket". I have one in my garage... Shawn

I will definitely keep my eyes out though next year. If I see one I will let you know. Take Care. Cameron
notacop Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 The silver wonder is made from old fuel cells. two seater/tandem. Powered by VW, I peaked under the skirt , By far the freakiest of the freaks there but very kool. Plenty of vintage toys and new stuff too.
