AdventurePoser Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 HI guys, Based on input from several of you, I just ordered these: http://www.p3lights.com/ Woo hoo! Coupled with a new BMW hi intensity high beam bulb watch out... Steve
Bernie Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I am happy with my P-3 brake lights. And Knifemaker can verify how bright they are. He is always looking at them.

Jon_M Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Coupled with a new BMW hi intensity high beam bulb watch out... Steve What's the bulb you're referring to?
LuckyLeif Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Jerry Skeene in our local BMW club sells the P3 system. Quite a few locals have them installed on their hexheads.
AdventurePoser Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 Jon, I don't think it is a new product. I saw it demo'd on a new K1200GT and it is extremely bright. I'm guessing it is a PIAA aftermarket bulb with BMW's name on it... FYI, I put PIAA bulbs in my R1150RT and they made a huge difference in light output. Only problems were that they are expensive and don't seem to last as long as "stock" bulbs... Of course, YMMV! Cheers, Steve
Jon_M Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Jon, I'm guessing it is a PIAA aftermarket bulb with BMW's name on it... I'll check it out the next time I go to the dealer. I now have Osram Silverstars, which are a distinct improvement over the stock bulbs that came with the R12RT (2005). I think I'll eventually end up with an HID high beam, but with prices ranging from under $100 to over $700 and assessments all over the map, I'm not ready to jump in yet.
AdventurePoser Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 I'm dropping off some BT 021s I am having installed on the RT tomorrow. I will ask the dealer to be more specific... I am leaning toward the Hella Micro Lights with Martin Fabrication mounts, but at $600+ I gotta save more pennies! Steve in So Cal
Jim VonBaden Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 They work GREAT in Mine and Tina's bikes, as well as many local club member bikes. Mine laying down to clear my helmet locks. Tina's on her R1200ST at night. Jim
