topdal46 Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 1999 BMW R1100RT, is my next service due at 60,000 ? Major?
flars Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Yes. Also, if it has been 12 months since the brake lines were flushed, that is supposed to be done also. It should take you about 2 hours or less to do the service (including tupperware removal), other than the brakes.
tomk99r11 Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I believe the link shown has the service intervals and requisite services to be performed, if you don't have your owners manual. Good luck. sjbmw.com/
Sidmo Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Last year when I had my 04 RT brake service done the service manager said BMW had extended the brake service to two years.
topdal46 Posted October 27, 2007 Author Posted October 27, 2007 I'm traveling right now for work, in Toledo,Ohio for the weekend, and for some reason I was thinking my bike had a 58,000 service coming up, not sure where I got that idea from. I get home 31 Oct for 2 weeks off, so instead of bike service it's Bike Riding,, Arkansas here I come. Thanks People, great information here
NormanFox Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 For my '04 R1150RT the service is at 6,000 mile intervals, minor at multiples of 6, major at multiples of 12. Also some items are annual and some every two years. Bob's BMW has the service sheets by model available on line.
