Huzband Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Hmmm, I wonder what kind of trade-in allowance they'd give for a "never ridden" GSA.
Firefight911 Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 Or a KTM with a bad torque-limiting clutch????

RamblinBoy Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 According to the dealer in Raleigh, this is a BMW incentive, not merely A&S. He's offering the same deals.

Huzband Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Or a KTM with a bad torque-limiting clutch???? The torque limiter's got nuttin' to do with the clutch, doofus. And, it's been fixed since Sat. morning. How's your Lego project comin' along? You know, the one you call a GSA?
Mike O Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I'll bite since everyone else seems to know (or isn't asking). What are 'Funbucks'? Can they be redeemed at an amusement park? Mike O
Whip Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I'll bite since everyone else seems to know (or isn't asking). What are 'Funbucks'? Can they be redeemed at an amusement park? Mike O KTM dealer...amusement park ....same thing
Paul Mihalka Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I'll bite since everyone else seems to know (or isn't asking). What are 'Funbucks'? Can they be redeemed at an amusement park? Mike O I would expect it to be like a gift certificate, money to be spent at the shop. But you'd have to ask A&S.
Todd_Z1 Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Funbucks are what you spend at the Mustang Ranch in Nevada! Cheers! I'll bite since everyone else seems to know (or isn't asking). What are 'Funbucks'? Can they be redeemed at an amusement park? Mike O
Twisties Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 According to the dealer in Raleigh, this is a BMW incentive, not merely A&S. He's offering the same deals. According to the dealer in SLC, there are incentives, but A&S must be crazy to be going that far and they are into their cost... Of course all I understood from that is that the dealer in SLC isn't going that far.
Twisties Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Maybe a false assumption, but I had assumed you could apply to purchase price or accessories.
Firefight911 Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 Lego Project???? Snowy. Ignore him!!! He's talking about this: LINKY
fourteenfour Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I saw that Daytona BMW is going further... 11500+ My local dealer made me an offer of 12K - but I want hard final numbers before tax... basically all of them are near the $4500 off now. I was looking to buy a 05/06 K1200S (yellow/black) and was telling my local dealer (BMWMCOA) about what I was looking for, he then told me he could sell me a new K1200R sport for less than I can find any good used y/b K1200S! I so like the looks of S, but that price on the K1200R is so good.... no servo brakes or their maintenance either. Something to consider. So I am torn, go buy a user K1200S in the colors I want, or settle for a K1200RS? (with all warranty)
Bill Murray Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 I've run into a similar situation. I stopped by my local dealer today, was admiring the R1200R-Sport (again), and end up talking to him about trading my R12ST for a new 07 K12R-Sport. I am waiting for him to provide semi-firm numbers and get back to me. While I REALLY like my R12ST, I miss the K-engine from my previous 03 K12GT and 99 K12RS. I have not taken a test ride yet (I test rode a K12R and K12S when I was shopping and bought my R12ST), but I'm currently doing my internet "research," reading up on K12R postings. The price may be too good to resist...

The price may be too good to resist... Well my dealer, BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta, managed to sell me a K1200R Sport (blue) Saturday. I swear they must have something in the air in that place as I have bought three bikes there now. Then again Bobby and his father do take buying a bike there to a higher level. Took the Silver/Gray K1200R Sport out for over an hour, turned around and found myself riding a blue one home that evening. Sheesh.. told them I hope not to buy another bike from them for at least TWO years I had a K1200RS (03) before and this is definitely more sporty. It takes so little time to approach speeds that are naughty - as in do not pass go - go straight to jail. Now I just need to find a decent priced belly pan and such I can paint to match the rest of the bike.
