Tony_K Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Anyone have first hand experience with this suit by FirstGear? Thermo Curious to see any opinions as this may be a useful option for Lori to cover her summer riding gear in the cooler winter months. She dosen't like to be cold. Yes we know about electric gear and that will come in time but for now any word on this particular one piece? It looks quite promising at a good price. Thanks!
HexHead Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I've got one and it is WARM. I can ride in the 30s with just a light sweater and t-shirt under it. A friend of mine rode from Huntsville AL to Nashville TN in the pouring rain in one and arrived perfectly dry. The only downside is that they offer no armor, but it sounds like you've got that covered. If they added CE armor to that it would be the shitz.
Tony_K Posted October 19, 2007 Author Posted October 19, 2007 Sounds promising. The one big issue is Lori is vertically challenged. So we will need to locate a vendor that stocks them to do some fitting. Since we would most likely have to do alterations adding mesh pockets for armor would be easy. Thanks for the info!
Texan Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I had one that was destroyed when a school bus hit me, but until that time it was a great suit. Warm and dry and I will buy a new one before next winter.
