Deadboy Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Wow, I am not Biaggi's biggest fan but I am sorry to see this as he did put in a hell of a season this year... http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2007/Oct/071018a.htm
EffBee Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Yeah, I saw that too. If it was budget-related, I can understand it. If it was Max being "Maximiliano" and full of his own importantness, then I can understand that, too. But otherwise, he did do a very good job for them. I wonder if he has a MotoGP ride lined up. Lessee. Ducky's got their riders. Honda has theirs, not that they'd take him back. Yamaha has theirs and Tech3 Yamaha has Edwards (who else?). Suzuki got Capirossi to help with development, like he did at Ducati. Kawasaki is full. Hmmm. Doesn't seem like there's much room under the Big Tent. Is Max getting Rodney Dangerfielded? Just curious. Any decent rumors out there?
90%angel Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Well there are Kawasaki (MotoGP) and Biaggi rumors, so who knows? Maybe they'll run a third bike? Is the Gresini Team full? I am thinking they have Elias and D'Angelus? I know another 250 guy is moving up, and I think it is D'Angelus (and I think it is to Gresini's team). What about D'antin? They're open right now, aren't they? There are rumblings about Barros heading back to WSBK, and we know the Hoff is out. Wonder what happened with Biaggi? He did do a great job this year. So...do we hope he stays in WSBK, or hope he goes back to MotoGP?
russell_bynum Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Crash.net says Gresini is talking to Max.
90%angel Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Hmm... so it looks like Elias' fate is up in the air, but D'antin wants him (he wants to stay with Gresini though), and I guess De angelis is confirmed for Gresini. Biaggi back in GP would be interesting, but he's been a hoot in WSBK too. I'd just like to see Rossi start picking on him again! I hope Elias gets a ride somewhere...he's always entertaining too (and of course, his win in Estoril last year helped solidify the championship for my boy!)

You had him at the top of your "people to kill, slowly" list after that race.
90%angel Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 indeed, but I guess I forgave him since he did in his leg and had to sit out a few rounds. He's done his time in the penalty box
HexHead Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I read somewhere today that Alstare might move up from WSBK to be a second Suzuki team in MotoGP. Question is if Corona will follow them up, as a lot more money is involved. Max may end up on the "same" team he was on this year, just back chasing down Rossi again. Good luck with that Max.
