Ben, I think you are going to want to split out the Canadian bikes as well since they use a differnt three digit numeral system than our US bikes. JT Link to comment

Yeah - and to be perfectly honest, I don't know why I sold it other than I wanted to go back to a bike with far more relaxed ergos. On the other hand, I'm now eyeing the 1125 and the HP2. Build date, I don't know, I am @ work and bike is at dealer for tires. I know I purchased it from BMW of Grand Rapids Michigan back in May of 2005. I got just under 36,000 miles on the clock now and the only problems were I replaced both headlight bulbs and the tailight bulb in under a week in three different events and the left grip stopped heating this Spring and that is getting replaced while it is in for tires. As much as I love the bike and its looks, I am going to put it up for sale around Christmas time and look into something different. What bike? I am not so sure...but I have ideas and this is not the time or place to discuss. Link to comment

The 0338 in the first row indicates the model of the motorcycle. All STs are model 0338. The production number would be the last 3 digits of the VIN. Link to comment

And for what it's worth a friend of mine (Stu!) has also bought an 06 Silver ST too, both Central Scotland. Havent go round to checking the numbering yet, but from what I read in this post earlier, the UK numbers may not tally up to mean the same thing anyway. I'll look at the numbering and report back. bmwson Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Hi Peter, Yes I did get the AC Schnitzer handle bars installed on my ST a couple of weeks ago. They're great! The riding position is a bit more upright and the width of my arms a little wider. Coupled with my slightly higher ZTechnic Windshield, it's a perfect combination for me. BMW's current promotion was simply too good an offer to refuse. I have really enjoyed the R12ST. Hopefully my ex-ST (#313) will go to a worthy new owner, and I will try to encourage them to register with this group. Now I need to get busy and sell my ZTechnik windscreen and BMW tank bag from the ST. Link to comment
