David Posted September 22, 2004 Well, here's BMWs wonderful $69 hunk of aluminum otherwise known as an oil filter wrench for the hexhead line. And yes, other people have already started knockin' em off! Share this post Link to post
Tasker Posted September 22, 2004 So, it's 45% less than one that would be made by Snap-On. Congrats on the awesome deal! Share this post Link to post
4wheeldog Posted September 22, 2004 Boy, they really went to great lengths to come up with original fluting. But I am sure that the fluting really contributes to the filter's ability to remove stuff from the oil (Not). Reminds me of a friend of mine that had an '60s Ferrari years ago. It had two oil filters, right and left. One was a PH8 ford type filter, the other was identical except for the LEFT HAND THREAD.... ...$35 from Italy in the late '70s. Share this post Link to post

David Posted September 22, 2004 And yes, other people have already started knockin' em off! Where might that be? I can't remember for sure, but I've seen at least two manufacturers on either AdvRider or UKGser. Share this post Link to post

Spike Posted September 23, 2004 Yeah, but it looks like a nice piece of machining .. Share this post Link to post
sheldon Posted September 28, 2004 Made my own wrench out of a scrap piece of aluminium and 4 3/16 dowel pins. Cost - next to nothing. Works like a charm ! Sheldon Share this post Link to post
