woodscrew
I just came home from the shop with my first set of Z6's on my '99 RT. First off let me say I love the way they handle, especially at very slow speeds. My previous Michelin road pilots made the bike turn in or fall in at u-turn speeds. You had to fight the bars about halfway through to keep from going full lock or just plain falling over. The difference with the Metzlers is dramatic. Anyway, what pressure is everyone running front and rear? They came from the shop with 35lbs front and rear-just doesn't seem right to me.By the way , I put Ohlins on the bike at the same time as the road pilots (about a year ago) and was blaming the weird handling on imperfect suspension tuning on my part- it never occurred to me it might be the tires. xoomerite
I have the Z6s and run 36 front, 42 rear as the manual shows. I like the feel, wear, and performance. Link to comment
RFW
Tire pressure relates mainly to tire size. Changing from brand X to brand Y of the identical size of tire requires no change in pressure. Typically changing from one tire size to a new tire that has a lower aspect ratio (e.g. from a /80 aspect ratio to a /70) will usually require a couple psi more pressure. Link to comment

TedG
07 RST, normally run 36/38, got carried away with the air hose yesterday, so I'm at 36/40 right now. Close enough for urban plodding. Link to comment
George Brown
'97 R1100RT 40F-42R. Been running these pressures since '99 on Mez4s and two sets of Mez6's with no unusal wear issues such as cupping. Link to comment
