Mike Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Interesting. I can see it being used in certain areas of a garment to augment padding. Aerostich garments use viscoelastic foam pads that function similarly--the foam is soft and pliable, but instantly becomes firmer on impact, absorbing and dissipating energy in the process.
