Glove Box wiring the easy way

Mounting my Autocom in my 2007 R1200RT glovebox, I was going to remove all the tupperware and pull out the box itself so I could drill a hole for the wires. I discovered that after pulling only the top right fairing panel (very easy) that the top corner of the box is exposed and there is a screw that can be removed from the box's outside wall; then you can pry the wall away from the box, dremel out a small hole to accomodate the wires, screw it back tight and dab some silicone around the wires to seal them. (see attached pic). No need to drill a large hole to accomodate the huge heavy-duty Autocom plugs since the box's side pulls away, and it sure was easier than pulling it out!

An angle drill worked fine on my 99 RT glove box for installing a 12 volt outlet ( cigar lighter recpt.) to plug in my cell phone.
