Glove Box wiring the easy way

Mounting my Autocom in my 2007 R1200RT glovebox, I was going to remove all the tupperware and pull out the box itself so I could drill a hole for the wires. I discovered that after pulling only the top right fairing panel (very easy) that the top corner of the box is exposed and there is a screw that can be removed from the box's outside wall; then you can pry the wall away from the box, dremel out a small hole to accomodate the wires, screw it back tight and dab some silicone around the wires to seal them. (see attached pic). No need to drill a large hole to accomodate the huge heavy-duty Autocom plugs since the box's side pulls away, and it sure was easier than pulling it out! clap.gif
