duckbubbles
I would think that the hall effect sensors of the K75 and K100 would NOT be compatible. You have a four cylinder with a firing impulse every 180 deg. of crank rotation on the K100. The K75 has a firing impulse every 120 deg. of crankshaft rotation, being a triple. It probably has three pickups, where the K100 will have two. Frank Link to comment
cjack
Hi does anyone know if a k100 hall sensor is compatible with a k75,have a 85 k100 and 87 k75, have a extra hall sensor for k100 but k75 is the bike that needs one. thanks They are different. The K100 has two sensors 180 deg apart and a single window. The K75 sensor has two sensors 120 deg apart and two windows, and also positioned 120 deg apart on the cup. The action of this K75 sensor is interesting in that there are four pulses generated, but two of them are for cyl #1 for synchronization of the ign coil control. The control unit recognizes the dual pulse as cyl #1 for the firing order of 3,1,2. There is a spark for each cyl on compression and on exhaust (a waste spark). Same as the 4 cyl engine. The short answer is no. Link to comment

k75duck
If you're still looking for a good K75 HES, drop me a line at smithduck@comcast.net FYI: All of the four cylinder K bikes use the same HES - 2V K100s, 4V K100s and the K1100s. Link to comment
Larry
When you need to know what fits what. Go to one of the dealer's sights that has a Parts Fitch. Check the parts and numbers for each bikes. Max BMW http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com is a good source. Link to comment
