Sailorlite
HF is selling a "4 Piece End Cap" oil filter wrench set for $5 (p/n 94096). Does one of those caps fit the OE oilhead filter? If I had a spare filter, I'd check myself, but I don't. Link to comment
PapaJ
I got away from the Bosch stock filter and use an Amsoil filter. It uses a more readily available size filter wrench, one of those four would probably work. Purolator, Wix, wal-mart, Mobile all make filters for the R1150RT that fit standard filter wrenches. Bob Palin
The stock 1150 BMW filter is a standard, Fram type B, widely available at pretty much any auto parts store for a few bucks. Take a filter with you to make sure I remembered the right type! Link to comment
jfremder
I have that HF set, and none fit the OEM Oilhead filter. A fram type B will, but you might have to turn down the outer diameter a bit to get it to fit in the recess Link to comment
