Wyn
My manual says my rear suspension spring preload can be set on low (solo) or high (2 up) there's no in between? Link to comment
PapaJ
I assume that since the screw in the shock turns about 10 turns between low and high that if you stopped somewhere in between you'd get an intermediate setting. However, that being said, this is my first BMW and the logic that applies is not always linear. Link to comment
Boffin
I assume that since the screw in the shock turns about 10 turns between low and high that if you stopped somewhere in between you'd get an intermediate setting. However, that being said, this is my first BMW and the logic that applies is not always linear. The pre-load adjuster is just a piston that applies pressure to the spring. It is entirely linear from one extreme to the other. BTW, sometimes the oil in the pre-load system just seems to dissapear and you have to turn the adjuster two-or three turns before anything happens. If this occurs you can strip the adjuster and re-fill with jack oil. Andy Link to comment
