tallman
People have put the GS driver's seat in front high, rear low, positions since it came out, to eliminate forward slide. Personally, if I couldn't do it using the existing set up (ala GS) I'd use seat jacks. Much more stable and secure IMO. Link to comment
Wyn
Tim, Thanks. I've searched for seat jacks, nothing. Where can I find them? BTW, Tried fix. It still ends up being a project. If you don't shim the rests you run the risk of screwing up your side covers. Ferget it! Link to comment

Wyn, real easy to make your own seat jacks from plastic.. The hard part is finding longer bolts to attach the front seat bracket (probably the best place to get them is at a Honda or Yamaha dealer (take an original with you & ask for 13mm longer screws.. See picture of easily made seat jscks (took me about 5 minutes & some 1/4" thick nylon,, I used 2 on each side for a total of 1/2" higher.. Twisty Link to comment
Sidmariner
I did the same thing with Nylon. Cheapest source was the local Dollar Store, where I bought a cheap cutting board to cut up. Link to comment

Guess you've never seen the commercial were the kid is getting interviewed by the boss and keeps calling him Mr. Dumbass. The boss leans over and you see his name plate on the desk. As he says to the kid "It's Du mas!" Guess he didn't get the job. Link to comment
