Brake pedal and shifter lever positions-can any adjustments be made?

Other than the 2 positions shown in the riders manual is there any way to adjust the height of the gearshift lever? I also need to lower the rear brake pedal. I tried moving the clevis pin arrangement at the bottom of the pushrod from the rear master cylinder but it really didn't seem to do anything. Which way should lower the brake pedal(shortening or lengthening the position of the clevise pin on the rod)?

Reason I need to adjust the pedals is i just put a lowering kit on for the driver foot pegs and now my feet area bit out of adjustment. I'm also going to have to get a brake pedal extender as my feet stick out towards the sides naturally and know its a real effort to get to the brake pedal.

On the brake pedal it's really a two item adjustment - There is a stop bolt near the front of the pedal that depresses the brake light switch. It can be adjusted some to change the pedal angle. Then after you get it to where you want it go to the back and adjust the push rod up to the master cylinder for proper brake application.

On the shifter side you can change what spline the gear change lever on the side of the tranny sits on. The challenge you run into fairly quickly is running out of slot space in the big silver side foot plate the shifter sticks through. I have seen some people actually enlarge the slot, but obviously that's not for the faint of heart.

Thanks Ken. I tried adjusting the brake pedal at both locations you mention but I guess I didn't adjust it correctly and will try again.

The point of moving the gearshift lever off the splines is the tip i needed. It makes sense now. Enlarging the slot doesn't seem to be such a big deal either.

Any suggestions on which pedal extension to get for brake pedal and possibly gearshift if any are available?

Which peg lowering kit did you purchase? Most have a shifter extension such as this

from suburban machinery . Moving the spline on the transmission isn't likely to gain much without enlarging the slot significantly.

I bought the kit used and it is a Suburban Machinery Kit.

I had called Suburban Machinery before I purchased it and asked about the extention and was asked my shoe size which is a size 9 and the rep said that with my size foot I probably wouldn't need the extenstion, its guys with larger feet who need the extension. I guess I'll have to try it out for a while and see if I need one or not...I only need to move the lever down a bit vertically (less height) not necessarily forward.

Out of curiosity in the picture you posted is the foot peg upside down? I've got the rubber on the top so that it touches the bottom of my boot.

Are there 2 ways to mount the pegs to the extension brackets?

I stole the photo from Suburban Machinery's site. I think the footpeg is mounted correctly, it just doesn't have the rubber on it. The outside edge still tapers upward.
