KER Posted July 23, 2007 Share Posted July 23, 2007 has anyone bypassed the sidestand kill switch on their 1200rt? I am working on my bosses 1200RTP and he has been having issues with the sidestand for a few weeks, the dealer looked at it and said they "fixed it" but still does not work. So, the next step would be to bypass it, so any info on it? Link to comment

The bikes under warranty, make the dealer make it right. its been taken in twice, but since its a work bikes it not very convenient to keep taking it in. Right now i have the bike apart and will be taking the broken switch in myself and getting a new one under warranty. Fourtunatly the dealer here will let me bring in parts from our bikes and exchange them for new ones so we don't have to leave them there overnight. So in the mean time i wanted to temp bypass the switch the bike can be used until we get the new part, who knows if they have to order it or not. Link to comment
