Shoei Multitech and Autocom

Wondering if anyone here has installed speakers and mike in their Shoei Multitech helmet, and would like to share technique, pictures, tips, problems, etc. I have X-11's now, but would like to go with the Multitech, but not if I can't install the Autocom speakers and mike.

Thanks in advance.

My wife and I wear Multitechs with Autocom installed. Autocom fits perfectly in the Multitech. Slide the mic boom under the padding (we used the right side). It will stay in place without any reinforcement if it's sort of woven through the holes on the backer for the padding. Make a small slit in the lining and push the speaker through on one side, then slide the other speaker under the lining across the top or around the back of the helmet (to reach the opposite side), then make another slit and slide the speaker through it. The speakers fit perfectly in the indentations behind the ear padding. I attached the pigtail to the lining of the back of the helmets using lining from an old Shoei and stitching it in place. Works well. Hope this makes sense, but if you need clarification, please ask. I'll post any pics you need for clarification--I didn't take any during the installation process. I also have an X-11 and I found the Autocom was a very hard and uncomfortable fit--so we got Multitechs and are very happy with Multitech/Autocom combo. thumbsup.gif

Some pics, any pics of either or both helmets would be much appreciated. I'm not familiar with how the installs look, except for the Autocom website, and that isn't very clear to me. I can handle most any project if I can only see what I need to do. Thanks a lot!
