Ouray II "The rest of the Story"

We stayed together in a nice townhome that Mrs. Whip discovered.

Came with it's own garage so we could leave all our stuff on the bikes which was good because Killer got there first and put Louise and I in the crows nest. It felt like 6 flights of stairs.

The next mornin(after I got the bolts tighted on the FJR) we went lookin for ghost towns in the area. We never got to the one we were lookin for. But we made the best of it.

I've been up and down 550 many times, but never in a car.

171158622-L.jpg

I wonder what the view would be like from the inside of a car.

171158572-L.jpg

I think I'll stick to bikes.

171158582-L.jpg

Maybe it was the car.

Back to Ouray to serve our warrant on Steve1150plus50......we found him and made him join us for Dinner.

Tom made him beg for his release, after his experience in Costa Rico we decided on time served.

Tom left in the mornin....with lust in his heart....or maybe it was too cold for him and he wanted to head south dopeslap.gifdopeslap.gif

Anyway Killer agreed to give us a 4 wheel drive tour of the area....Louise and I we're exited about the idea. John LT thought we were crazy, Howard wasn't sure, but came along anyway.

On the way home from Gateway.

171159544-L.jpg

Before Howard(Phillyflash) left he made me drink the Kool-Aid.

Since I don't own a Beemer anymore and he's a moderator, I guess he felt like it his responsibility to at least try.

169101716-L.jpg

How did he do that???????????????????????????

169101721-L.jpg

Still more to come.......we had so much fun on the first 4 wheel trip we decided to do it again...this time with out Howard...or the Kool-Aid

Stay tuned.....

Went to school in Durango, and go back when we can. Been to all those places, but your pics are so fine. Makes me realize it's been 3 years already since were there last, and we've never been there on a bike (well, we have done Red Mtn and Lizards Head on bicycles, but we were younger then) -- too long. That place is just too nice. Maybe we'll make it down during TOR.

I still need to read Tom's two threads on Ouray, now I'm inspired.

Thanks for posting
