helmet camera / bike mounted camera

Hello, to everyone out there. Heres my ?. anyone useing a camera on there bike or helmet? I'm going on a long trip this summer out west and I'd like to film the trip the ? is who is useing what? thanks in advance for the help

i have just a simple miniDV camcorder. You can pick one up for about 250 - 290 at any walmart or electronics store.

 

these things are almost indestructable and have very few moving parts.

 

Just figure out a way to mount on your bike, maybe a shelf or a RAM mount set up. If you not looking for perfect quality, just mount behind your windshield, and within your reach and you can turn it on and off

 

if you want high end, look for one with a wired mic input, and a wired remote. Keep the mike in your helmet and the remote on your tank bag, and you can really start and stop and add commentary pretty well.

Check out helmetcamera.com,,This is what i use,,works great You can hook up lens to any camcorder that has RCA jacks,,out and in,,If you can find a camcorder with a wired remote switch you can stick camcorder in tank bag and work it from the switch witch you can mount on you bars,,,
