mbresso Posted June 27, 2007 Share Posted June 27, 2007 If you felt it was enough, RAM also sells an actual locking knob that replaces the turning "key" normally found on their RAM arms. I purchased one myself. You have an actual key that locks the knob/mount so that it merely spins harmlessly and can't be removed under normal circumstances. If you used that in conjunction with the security screw you could at least have a hamburger 100 feet from your bike while it was in eyesight. It would then take those few extra seconds for somebody with metal snips or something to cut.... Of course there is NO locking system that is completely infallible, so that's a suggestion.
