preacher
recently changed oil on my 1985 K100RT,,,l failed to pre-fill the oil filter and when I filled new oil into the bike and assured myself that nothing was going to leak,,l started the bike and much to my chagrin the low oil pressure indicator light stayed on for a full split second and of course went out when the oil sensor unit responded accordingly and as expected. Did l do any damage to the engine? Bike seems fine as there is no engine knocking or white exhaust if something happened. Is this normal? l cant remember experiencing it before that the light would stay on after oil changing. Link to comment
Zot
Should not be an issue. One second to fill filter and pressurize system is actually quite fast.Don't worry about any damage, there would have been enough residual oil film on the bearings that no damage would have been done. Link to comment
