Twisties
So, we hear a great deal about the custom seats, and seat modifications. I'm curious what percentage change out the seat. What do you do? Since many users may have more than one setup I left the poll open for more than one choice. Please respond though only for BMW sport touring machines. Link to comment
Sidmariner
After an uncomfortable week-long road trip on my RT I've now got my heart set on a Kontour seat. Sadly, I have to wait until end-September before they have an opening to take my seat. Link to comment
Davis
Guess I have a german butt, but even after 14-16 hour days on the stock seat, it's not my butt that's bothering me. Link to comment
Twisties
Guess I should have put this in bike related things, sorry, realized after I posted and I don't know how to move it. For some reason it is showing question 2 first, and question 1 second, I'd swear they were right on the preview. Anyway, look forward to seeing what the results are! Jan Link to comment
Zot
Guess I have a german butt, but even after 14-16 hour days on the stock seat, it's not my butt that's bothering me. That explains it.... I'm very satisfied with my stock seat also. Link to comment
Francois_Dumas
Would like to have a more comfortable seat than the stock, but it's all I have and will have Link to comment
Linz
I have a fitted sheepskin on the riders and pillion seat, this aids comfort greatly. Also added the seat jacks from www.cyclegadgets.com to stop me sliding forward. My rear is now firmly implanted at the back of the seat where it's widest and I'm not fighting the dreaded slide forward which I find exhausting. R1150RT '02 Cheers, Linz :-) Link to comment

Knighthawk
What happens with sheepskin in the rain !? Seriously though, I have an Alaska leather sheepskin for my RT, and I love it!! It has been thoroughy soaked a couple of time. Just shake it out and let it air dry. I have used Woolite and baby shampoo to clean it, and I use a dog brush to fluff up the nap. Link to comment
Francois_Dumas
Don't worry, I take them on the chin ! So you CAN leave it on in the rain. That's what I was wondering about (since we have quite a lot of the wet stuff up here). Might be a poor-man's solution for replacing the stock saddle indeed then. Something to ponder over Link to comment
Officer_Impersonator
My '02 RT-P came with a Bill Meyer custom seat. It's much more comfortable than the Corbin I had on my old K75S. Of course, it also costs twice as much! Link to comment
BlueBeam
Seat Jacks??? Sounds like that's worth looking into. Should be easy to make. Link to comment
