JohnNorCal
I have a K75c with the handlebar mounted factory mirrors. Is there a way to adjust them so that I can increase friction? The left one always blows out of adjustment when riding over 60. I looked in the manual and the shop manual but I didn't see anything. Link to comment
JohnNorCal
Should I move the mirror to my 1150 RT and post this question on the oilhead forum? Link to comment
styler
LOL, not sure about moving it to an RT. I can't suggest much because I have a K1200GT, they tighten with an allen key, it's always the left one that becomes loose, this is because it's always trying to undo the thread. Does make you wonder why they don't put a reverse thread on that side, then I suppose we would have a thread titled...'how do you undo mirror, tried a 4ft extenion on key'. Mine nip up easy with no problem, aside from putting your post at the top of the pile, I can't help you much here. Link to comment
hmeiseles
Are you questioning where the stalk attaches to the handbar or where the mirror attaches to the stalk? Link to comment
JohnNorCal
Where the mirror attaches to the stalk. There is a collar that looks like it should be able to tighten but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Link to comment
Don_Eilenberger
Where the mirror attaches to the stalk. There is a collar that looks like it should be able to tighten but it doesn't seem to make a difference. The collar doesn't do a thing. About all you might try is putting a very small tie-wrap in the gap where the mirror rotates - fasten it tightly. Other than that - it's new mirror time.. Link to comment
hmeiseles
I agree with Don, new mirror time. Link to comment
