Mike05
Final Drive fluid change tonight on a '05 R1200RT (Thanks Phil/1bmwfan & Greg/Limecreek ). Went well; used AMSOIL (synthetic) 75W 90 as replacement fluid. Is it o.k. to use the same viscosity in the transmission or do you have to use BMW 75W 140? Link to comment
newcastle
I was wondering the same, I know the amsoil site recommends the 75/140 severe duty, but the 75/90 costs about half as much, has anyone tried it. thanks Link to comment
mshuell
I've had Amsoil 75w-90 in both the tranny and rear end for about 50,000 miles. No problems. Best Wishes. Mark Shuell. Link to comment
