JiminPA
Hi all, I have Moto technique bar risers I want to install on my R1150RT. It looks like the electrical cables to the hand grip housings is too short. If I cut he cable ties it may create enough slack in the cable. Has anyone else had this same issue? If so, how did you handle the wire problem? It sure looks like the cable will be stretched pretty tight with the bars in the locked position. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. But I just got the RT 2 weeks ago and I am trying to do much more of my own wrenching as the closest shop is 2.5 hours away. This site is a great place and I appreciate all the help. glockster
It does cause a little more tension on the wiring loom at full lock but has not been a problem on my '04 RT. Link to comment
keithb
Jim I put Moto Technique bar risers on my 04 RT and had no problem whatsoever with electrical/clutch or throttle cables being too short. My recommendation it to take another look at it before you start cutting ties. Link to comment
chrisx
they will fit. it just "looks" like they wont. you can get the leetle bit you need just by working the harness up a little if necessary. Link to comment
