fla_rider
I'm selling my bike on the forum, then i got this e-mail.....what do you think??? Dear sir, I am an international business man, specialised in dealing, purchasing and selling of AUTOS.I also help my foreign client to ship their autos to any place of their desired country or destination, most especially EUROPE, cause i have a shipper who takes care of the shipment, so shipping will not pose any problem. Presently i have a client who has asked me to help him purchase the item subjected above which will be shipped to EUROPE. As i was browsing through the internet, i saw your advert and i will like to purchase it for my client, but before payment will be made i need to be sure of who i will be dealing with if you are going to be honest and sincere throughout the transaction. So to start with, signify your interest by forwarding to me your last (PRICE) as well as your method(s) of payment through mail, after which we can continue with the transaction and i promise if all conditions and agreement are accepted and reached on time, payment will be made out almost immediately. Hoping to here from you as soon as possible. Respectfully, MIKE-WILLIAMS. Link to comment

leikam
Consider that anybody who can afford to hire somebody else to buy cars for them can afford to buy locally. The kinds of cars that get sourced this way are very rare where there are a handfull of active sellers worldwide at any given time. Much as you like your bike, it's not in this class of vehicle. To put it another way, anybody who would have a client like this would go to the BMW local dealer and work through them. Link to comment
Carnadero
Dear sir,... This is the point at which I'd have suspected it to be spam. ...I am an international business man,... At this point, I'd be convinced it was indeed spam. Link to comment
Fugu
I bet he knows the guy who offered to buy my GS for $1000 over book and pay to ship it to Israel provided I take an "overdraft cashier's check" and pay the $2500 extra it would be written for in cash to his shipping agent to settle his debt. I gave him my mailing address for the money order- it was the local deputy sheriff's office. I wonder if he mailed the fake MO and if the sheriff's office has time to bother with such clearly BS attempted theft. Link to comment
leikam
$1000 over book You left a lot of money on the table. I got offered ~$16k for an 8 year old non-operational RT. Link to comment

JayW
Don't bite. "The item subjected above" clause cinched it for me. The letter sounds too generic, no doubt sent to many potential victims. Jay Link to comment

Paul_Burkett
I think that he should have used more variants of the word SHIPPED in the first paragraph. Like " I ship shipments of shipable items to shipping receivers....of stolen ship stuff. Yea, that would have made it sound more beleivable. Link to comment
