IamBob Posted June 12, 2007 Share Posted June 12, 2007 I just replaced the FD on my RS with a salvaged FD from an RT. My question now is, what to do with the RS FD? I want to rebuild it, but where would I get the parts, and instructions on how to rebuild?? Not real mechanically inclined, unless it runs on diesel and weighs over 25 tons, but since replacing the final drive feel froggy and want to try the rebuild myself. Link to comment
Rich06FJR1300 Posted June 12, 2007 Share Posted June 12, 2007 got a repair manual from BMW and it shows what to do and measure, you need special "BMW" tools to check these measurements however. I would probably get the parts and have a dealer rebuild it (if they can). Have to check if they have the proper tools to check the particular measurements and fixtures. Link to comment
