Favorite off the beaten path restaurant.

Over the weekend I ended up riding to St. Francis, Kansas for the Stearman Biplane fly-in. It was fun but the other thing that interested me was finding a restaurant in nearby Bird City Kansas named Big Ed’s. While not big on décor, I probably had one of the best steaks I remember eating. Which prompted this thread, I am curious of other out of the way places that serve outstanding food. What is your favorite?

If you are ever on the southwest side of Michigan along the lake. The best ribs are at The Roadhouse along Red Arrow Hwy. It's in Union Pier.

I think the Calf-A, yep, that's really how they spell it, in Dell, Montana is one of my favorites...great homemade food, no artificial atmosphere and reasonable prices.

If you find yourself in Fredericksburg, Virginia try the Battlefield Diner. Expecially for breakfast! In Richmond Virginia, the Sandstonian. Great for breakfast or lunch. (near Richmond International Airport)

Enjoy! thumbsup.gif
