Any suggestions? Mumster, it’s difficult to help without knowing what the vibration is coming from? If just an engine buzz in the handlebars then it is probably normal but if a slower shake frequency then it might be tire/wheel induced.. Is your problem a buzz (high frequency) or more of a shake? You can’t easily determine the difference by riding at the same road speed in a lower gear.. If the vibration stays at the same vehicle speed it is probably tire/wheel induced (bad tire, improper balance, 1st order radial harmonic problem, etc).. If the vibration changes with engine RPM it is engine/drive train related (possibly normal, or loose engine mountings, or grounded exhaust system, etc).. Another way is to accelerate to above the 80-90 mph, then pull in the clutch (throttle off) & coast back down through the offending vehicle speed.. If the vibration is still there it is probably tire related,, if it is gone it is probably engine/drive train related.. Twisty Link to comment
