sonofdennis
I checked my timing using a timing light last night after I did a valve adjust and TB synch. What I saw is more confusing to me than confirming. What I saw is at idle the Line on top of the stamped "S" of the fly wheel is center in the view port and the "S" itself at the bottom of the view port. My manual doesn't help me with dynamic timing check, it's all static adjust. Anyone know where I can find specifics to timing light timing check on a 03 1150 RT? Thanks, Alan Link to comment
bmwmick
Dynamic timing should be about 6 degrees advanced (under 1,200RPM) that is the S mark on the flywheel. The OT mark is TDC and that is where it is set with the engine off. The Z is full advance but I don't remember how far advanced that is without looking it up.
