turn signals won't self cancel

my '96 R11RT has a Kisan Signal Minder installed by a previous owner and I know nothing about it except how it works on the bike. Last week the turn signals stopped self cancelling, which would do so after about 10 seconds. I believe someone told me that the cancelling timer is one of the Kisan Signal Minder functions but I'm not sure. Can someone give me some direction on this problem please? I don't even know what the Kisan device looks like or where it is located, nevermind how to diagnose a problem with it. Thanks in advance. Dave
