Manufacture date

Where does one locate the manufacture date (on my 2003 RT-P)? I'm trying to inspect and possibly adjust my alternator belt, and would like to know when it was built. Sounds like there are some differences in belts and adjustment procedures depending on the date it was built.

Mine is on the gray/silver tag just aft of the steering neck.

 

At the top of the tag, it has a square labled "MFD"... mine says 0901 for my 2002 RT.

Well, I can't seem to locate a tag with this on it (?!?!). But I do find a tag with tire pressure info, with the VIN number stamped into the frame just below it. Below it appears to be where another tag was, as I can see part of it still, but it has been removed.

If I use the site and my VIN number, I get a June 2002 date of production for my 2003 bike. I guess that makes sense....
