Dialling Telephone numbers from Garmin POI's

I am using a Garmin 2820 GPS at software version 4.1.

With the Garmin pre-loaded Points of Interest supplied with Mapsource there is a function to dial the telephone number of the POI.

Does anyone know how to make this function available with a custom POI? Is there a format which interprets part of the description as phone number ?

I don't think that the current version of Mapsource supports it. You have to manually edit the XML file to include the correct fields. There have been several threads at http://zumoforums.com/zumo/index.php covering this. You should be able to find it pretty easy with a search there.
