Jim VonBaden Posted May 15, 2007 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Having a fairly extensive alternative parts list for the R1100/1150 in the books, I am interested in starting one for the R1200 series. I do know that the R1100/1150 oil filters will fit, and many run them all the time, so they are a viable alternative. Though it is unknown the differences other than it being about .5" longer. So, plugs, belts, and other items of interest to the R1200, let me have it! Jim Link to comment

bakerzdosen Posted May 16, 2007 Share Posted May 16, 2007 K&N KN-164 oil filter. You can get 'em at any Autozone (often 1-day special order though). No special BMW wrench needed as they have a nut welded on the "bottom" (when on a bike). Wish I knew more... Link to comment
