AdventurePoser
Had a nice day to myself, as Jennifer is in the final touches of her Masters Degree...so, what better thing to do than spend it in the countryside. Here are a few pix: Here I am at the top of Big Sur. The old bus has been repainted, but it is still a great backdrop for a photo! The coastline continues to be gorgeous! While it was windy, there was absolutely no fog or cloud cover. In all, a spectacular spring day! Later on down the road I ran into a group of fellow BMW riders who were on their way to Arizona for a week of desert riding! I think they didn't want to leave Lucia... Here is another shot of the coastline looking north: Finally, it was time to head home...but I couldn't resist getting a shot of one of my favorite rocks. Morro Rock, that is! Santa Barbara was nearly deserted as I rode through... And that was that...an incredible 700 mile jaunt thru some of my favorite scenery... STeve in So Cal Link to comment

Actually I have, twice. Once when I was 43, and then again at 45. Both times were on long distance bicycle tours... I'd love to be the shape to do it again! Steve Link to comment

AdventurePoser
Hey, that would be a fun ride. I've ridden from Morro Bay to Cambria and back. Not too bad except the hill just south of Cambria... I'll try to get in shape for this one, and we'll do it together. Cheers, Steve Link to comment

AdventurePoser
Wonderful vistas Steve ! I enjoyed it so much I rode it up, then turned around and rode back south! CA 1 was in good shape, too. Very little slide damage other than one traffic control bridge about half way down. And, very little RV/Tour bus traffic either! Cheers, Steve in So Cal Link to comment
