I run 39/42 on the street and I only weigh about 170 with ATGATT on. Maybe I am throwing away a lot of traction in favor of tire life. Link to comment

On track you are running for 20-30min sessions and you need to heat up fast for traction. I want a high level of stick for the extended envelope I'm pushing on the track. I could probably go down a bit on the front and come up a bit on the rear. Depends on air temp and surface. I would never run 31/32 on road. If you ran this low on the road you will certainly kill tread life and maybe shouldn't be riding at the level that requires the additional traction! Link to comment
