GordonB Posted May 10, 2007 Share Posted May 10, 2007 I am looking at a 2001 RT to purchase but it does not have heated grips. Besides the cost of BMW Heated Grips, would the OEM handlebars need be replaced as well? Or is there a way to check the OEM Bars? Link to comment
chrisolson Posted May 10, 2007 Share Posted May 10, 2007 Most likely the bars are fine, they were on my '99 when I upgraded. There is a factory heated grip kit that contains everything you need including the dash switch and harness - about $200 and about an hour DIY to install going slow. Link to comment
