Garmin 2730 Auto-Routing Problem

I purchased and installed a Garmin 2730. I’ve used it about a month. I have one problem that I have not been able to resolve. I build some great routes in MapSource with multiple waypoints, download them to the 2730. I get to the menu of the 2730 to navigate the route. The 2730 shows the route in purple, but does not give me driving directions similar to if I tell it to find a location and direct me to it. Then when I turn it off, it does not pick up the route again. I have contacted Garmin and they had me upload the latest versions of firmware and software. Is this a feature that should work on the 2730?

Part of that will depend on how you have routing options set on the 2730. For instance, if you have a MapSource route set up using a gravel road but the 2730 has been configured to avoid gravel, you'll get a different route. You might check your option settings on the 2730 to make sure they reflect what you're trying to do.
