millbert
The RT has been in the garage under a blanket since Nov. 12/06. Disconnected the battery and forgot about it until today Apr.14/07 1:00 pm. The battery is 3 years old, never been charged, same old gas (regular)started like I put it away yesterday. Link to comment
waylap
I know what you mean. I reluctantly splurged on an Odyssey battery last year for my 04 RT and have never used a charger on purpose to put it to the test. I never even have a weak start even when the poor girl has sat in the garqage for more than a month. I'll be Odyssey from now on. If you're buying one though, don't forget to get the L shaped terminal adapters. Link to comment
moshe_levy
All- Hawker battery shelf-life is typically 2 years - well over the few months people are impressed by. They are truly excellent products, and actually cheaper in the long run as typical service life is 8 years. -MKL Link to comment
FrankT
If you install it sideways, no terminal adapters are required and the stock cables fit fine. If you want to install it upright, you will need to make a ground cable extension independent of whether the L terminals adapters are used. FWIW, my Odyssey has been mounted sideways for four years now without a problem. I do not consider buying the Odyssey a splurge since, IMHO, you're buying better technology at a less price than that over the parts counter. Link to comment

I have an Odyssey in my bike now and need to replace it. I like the Odyssey but the prices seemed to have jumped in the last few months. Thanks for any info.. Dave Link to comment
Paul_Burkett
I got mine from Battery Service Corp. in Bensenville, IL. I paid about $95.00. 630-595-4244. Usual disclaimers. If you install it sideways, no terminal adapters are required and the stock cables fit fine. Frank, how do you mount the battery sideways in an RT? Link to comment
