sonofdennis
Probably the most noise I get sounds like a knocking as i let out the clutch during low RPM starts from a stop. Is this normal of a dry clutch system, or the RT ? Link to comment
4wheeldog
Not the clutch, and pretty normal for an RT. They can have a tendency to detonate slightly when warm with relatively large throttle opening at very low RPM. If that is the only time it does it, you are good to go. If it does it above 3000 RPM you possibly have a bigger problem. Link to comment
sonofdennis
Actually it makes the knocking noise when I ride it like my Harley. I often forget to give the RT some revs when getting out of the hole. I know I'm supposed to rev the RT when changing energy state, but sometimes when I get lazy and forgetful the RT growls back with knocking and other various complaints. I think I'm hearing that lugging the RT in the low RPM's it's going to talk back to me in a grouchy tone and that's their normal temperment to being lugged. Link to comment
