Corbin Smuggler

I have been looking at the Corbin Smuggler for my R12RT. Anyone have any experience with this?

I've had the smuggler on my RT for close to a year now. I use the storage compartment all the time and the color is spot on for my graphite model. Pricey but I love it.

I love it too! Really want to get one as I am always riding solo and it looks great. Do you have the stock seat or another seat? Do you know if there is a problem fitting it with other aftermarket seats like Sargent?

This was a 3 day trip and I didn't need my top case!

 

I keep my roll-up tool kit in there (dont like having all that weight in a side case) and there is still room for my goretex rain pants + gloves, a ball cap for rest stops, and a bottle of gatorade. I wrap up the gatorade in the goretex and it stays nice and cool.

 

The lock is pretty much an afterthought - a good yank on the corner of the lid and it would probably snap right off - but it is still a good place to stow the GPS away from interested eyes.

I got the standard Corbin for the 12RT. Terrific for me. Did the drive-in to Hollister program. One of the best consumer experiences I've ever had (and I'm picky!). I think I was out of there for about $260. Best accessory value-for-performance I've purchased yet.

I too love mine. Just got back from Texas Hill Country and didn't need the top box. Use it without saddle bags for local rides because "essentials" are in the smuggler. The color match for the red on an 05 R1200RT was NOT very good. Will need to get it re-painted.
