Does anyone know what size / type of ss buttonhead is used on the dashboard? Would save me some research.... -MKL Link to comment
BMT Posted March 19, 2007 Share Posted March 19, 2007 The OE fasteners are stainless, just (barely) painted black. The black finish is easy to remove with almost anything -- a wire brush is reasonably efficient. Link to comment

Sidmariner Posted March 19, 2007 Share Posted March 19, 2007 I just replaced all my fairing fasteners with the Stainless Steel kit I found on eBay, but for the dash fasteners I just poked holes in a piece of cardboard, pushed in the old panel fasteners up to the head and then sprayed them with Tremclad matt black paint.
