DAB radio / Autocom question

I am currently using a portable DAB radio to listen to while on longish journeys. I have the unit in the top pocket of my jacket with my ER6i earphones connected. The earphones act as an antenna just as with any hand portable radio tends to. The ER6i cable is approx 5 feet and reception is good.

My question(s) is this (and is aimed at the radio techo guys out there) I am going to connect the DAB to my autocom and therefore will be using a shorter cable.

Is there a minimum length the 'ear' cable needs to be to act as a good match to the radio and provide good reception?

Is there any Autocom circuitry that will interfere with the reception?
