And it just happens to be on the new DR as well! Jodie and I bought two Suzuki DRs a couple weeks ago, but were in no hurry to pick them up as we are still in a deep freeze with no sign of spring. Well Friday they forecast a high of 8C (46F) for Sat, so I called the dealership and said have the 650 ready, I'm picking it up! ;-)

Picked it up at around 1PM yesterday from this fine gentleman, our salesman Danny, who is hiding his Yamaha shirt. eek.gif

Took the back way home and noticed this old barn...

Seeing how the tires work in snow...

Home safe and just a little dirtier than when we started...

It was a beautiful day and I was more elated to just be riding again, than over the new bike. Unfortunately it didn't last long enough, about a 45-50 minute ride, but WOW! I love riding! :-)

Now back to your regularly scheduled winter! -15C and snowing again this morning. frown.gif

Nice pictures, so whats the plan for the new bikes? I see you have a F650 also, are they that different? I'm waiting to see the 08 KLR before buying my next D/S bike. Good luck with the bikes & have fun.

Nope no F650. Jodie had the F650GS last year, but sold it when she bought her Ninja. Jodie bought the F650 as a street bike, she just liked the upright seating position. She had no intention of ever taking it off pavement. As a dual sport, it's pretty heavy. Would be OK for me to handle but would have been way to much for her to handle. She really doesn't like riding in the dirt/gravel, she likes the feeling of traction and being hooked up all the time. That's why we bought the DRs, and her the 200. It's nice and light and she feels totally confident on it, so we can start taking some easy trips around here to get her used to riding on gravel etc. Ultimate plan though is we just bought property in BC's Okanagan, and want to do lots of exploring so that's what the dual sports are for. We're starting to build this spring and will be making trips out there, so we're just going to leave the new bikes there so we have something to ride while out there.

See that's why I'm not trading Jodie in, she's usually the one that says go buy a bike! thumbsup.gif Or in this case, well if you're getting a dual sport, I want one too! clap.gif Yes I love my wife! Going to pick up Jodie's DR200 today.
